Imagine what you could do with two tablets (e.g. iPads) bound together like a book. Expensive… yes, but it would be pretty cool right? Well, the peeps over at Kno must have been thinking the same thing, except they also decided to something about it. While it’s not yet available, the Kno Dual-Screen Tablet is going to be the new ish very soon. While we’re not sure anything can replace our Kindles, having a virtual book with dual pages is definitely tempting.
We don’t want to be buzzkills but if you’re not an astronaut by now, Virgin Galactic is probably the only way you’ll get up to space. Who knows though, maybe it will be like the Jetsons in a few years… Even if that is the case, it would still be cool to say you were one of the first to be above the atmosphere. That is what Richard Branson is banking on too, well that and the fact the Jetsons reality is pretty far off. He hasn’t been wrong with his other life choices, so we’re confident Virgin Galactic is going to be around for a little while.
Back in the day Sony Walkmans were the portable, personal audio device of choice. Now everyone defaults to the ipods but Sony has continued to produce products with cutting edge technology and sleek design. The new B Series Walkman is no different. With 4 gigs of memory in a little stick device its plenty of music in a tiny package. Some of the amazing features include a 3 minute charge time for 90 minutes of playback and a bass boost that you can feel. There is also LED’s that bump with the beat, direct connection to you computer via USB and built in equalizer with different presets. Starting at £29 its surprisingly affordable. US customers hang tight cause we are hoping that Sony will bring this to the States soon.
There is no better way to experience a culture than through the food that they make and love. O’ngo Food, which was established in 2007, tries to bring together Korean traditions with others around the world. Their main services include food tours and cooking classes. Both of these will immerse you in all the bulgogi, kimchi and tofu stew you could ever dream for. The classes range from beginner, intermediate and advance so you can move your way up the ranks of Korean culinary expertise. Can you smell the spicy deliciousness like we can?
No, we’re not writing about the Pandora music player – although that is a great application – this post is referring to the awesome portable handheld computer/emulator. With the Pandora Handheld the power is literally at your finger tips. You have the capabilities of any computer, but the device really shines with emulation. The joystick, D-pad and buttons will be second nature to anyone who has held a controller before and the frame resembles a Nintendo DS. These controls are necessary once you have installed ROMS and can play all your old favorites on the same device. Oh, the good old days…
If you have an iPhone like everyone else, then you probably use it for most things. By now you also probably have “there’e an app for that” soldered into your brain, so it won’t be too surprising to find out about Surc. Surc is the universal remote for, well, everything. All you have to do is download the app, get a handy dandy case and you can control anything with power and a signal. You’ll turn into the Houdini of home electronic devices…
Yeah, we know everyone and their mother has an iPhone… but we want the Folded Leaf mobile phone from Claesson Koivisto Rune. If you don’t know why, you’re not looking hard enough. The thing is down right beautiful and has all the features you’d expect, plus a few more like a USB port and OLED display. Who says art can’t be functional too!?
Superb protection, increased battery life and better sound quality all packed in a sleek design that’s easy to grip. This pretty much solves every issue we have with the iphone4. Because of all these advances the Mophine Juice Pack Air is the winner of the CES Innovation 2011 Design and Engineering award.
Are the Asus U Bamboo laptops sleek or what? We don’t even really care what their processing power is because they look so cool. Well, on second thought, we do but Asus has us covered with an Intel Core i5 processor, NVIDIA Optimus technology, USB 3.0 and a slew of other high performance goodies. Each model is also made with real bamboo which not only gives each one a unique look but reduces the amount of plastic in the machine by 15 percent.
All the cases at ID are Swagmag material but we especially like the Gasket series. Made with brushed aluminum these cases look great, are light weight and provide protection to arguably the most vital thing in your daily life. As the name entails it has a mechanical feel to it that is ideal for us gear heads.
