Guess whose back? If you were one of the few who had CLEAR Pass when it first came out, you know of the convenience it offered while traveling through US airports. By going through the CLEAR line you bypassed normal travelers during security checks – quite convenient indeed. Then one day it all ended with economic downturn; however, they are back and better than ever. According to the CEO, Caryn Seidman-Becker, they’re a customer-centric company, focused on guarding your privacy and will even honor your previous membership. Get your old membership info from the trash, time for CLEAR round two.

If you’ve never been to Istanbul it’s definitely a place you should venture to. It’s the ultimate modern metropolis with old world charm. The W Hotel in Istanbul does an excellent job of crossing Ottoman influence with modern decor. Amenities such as cabanas on your balcony, turkish bath influenced bathrooms, the ultra modern W Lounge, and it’s all smack-dab in the middle of Istanbul. Venture down to the Bosphorus for boat tour, Reina for a club experience that you’ll never forget, to old town istanbul for old-world mosques and palaces, and all the kebabs your body can handle. Bliss.

Every guy needs a duffle bag, you need to lug all your stuff to the gym, a weekend trip, or just for a change of clothes after work. Guess what? We’re all tired of seeing the same old sports brand bags. Huge logos, impossible is nothing, and you just did it; we get it. That’s where the Herschel Novel Duffle Bag comes into play. You want something nice, but you don’t have to stray too far from the norm. The duffle comes in black (red or white for the more adventurous) with brown accents. Lots of cool details on this bag, a compartment for your kicks, waterproof zipper, red lining, and it even has a shoulder strap.

Combine portability and power into a sleek, modern design that is barely over a ½ inch thick and what do you get? You get a revolution in portable computing.  The Apple iPad takes the familiarity of the iPhone’s prized operating system and expands it to a handheld 9.7 inch screen. If you were not an Apple fan boy yet, this might be the tipping point. The boost in screen real estate is more than just aesthetic; the iPad features exclusive applications and features not found anywhere else. Add that to the already comprehensive list of features and you have a portable touch screen that MacGyver would be jealous of.

We love to travel and over the years Miami has certainly been good to us… As far as we can remember. Next time we’re in town we’ll definitely be spending our hard earned dollars at The Setai in South Beach. The Art Deco building is impressive; however, not as impressive as the asian influenced decor on the interior, with stylish yet modern rooms. Relax with your drink of choice at one of the three pools, each set at separate temperatures ranging from 75-95 degrees (so unnecessary, yet so necessary), or skip the pool and head to the beach to lay out on your private daybed overlooking the turquoise waters of South Beach.

Design conscious travelers have been raving about Phaidon’s Wallpaper* City Guide. Written by the magazines travel experts, in-house and local to the featured cities. Problem: at The Swag Mag, we’re not fans of looking like we don’t know what we’re doing and city guide’s are the ultimate “Hey, I’m not from around here, so just screw me now!” sign. Solution: Phaidon has released a number of their guides as an iPhone app. Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Milan, New York, Paris, Rome, and Tokyo are now your playground with cool features like photo galleries, widescreen video, and the ability to save your favorites.
