The engineering marvels at Hennessey Performance can give the pros at Dinan a run for their money. A perfect example is the Hennessey V700 Cadillac CTS-V, which sports over 700 horses. Going peddle to the metal in this beast causes a 0.99 g-force at start, 128 mph at the end of 1/4 miles and a call to OnStar (see video). Although, we would hate to worry the representatives at OnStar, we have a feeling they would receive quite a few calls if we were driving.
Whoa there Ford, we thought the Mustang was cool but this is a whole new level. The EVOS, which unfortunately is a concept, shows the path that Ford is trying to take. This plug-in hybrid not only connects to an outlet but the tech cloud of the future. Through the EVOS, you will have the ability to customize your experience and obtain almost anything you want through the cloud-connected interface, which is all pretty cool. The gull-style doors are a nice touch too… it’s like the Delorean of the future…
It’s rare to top an M3 Coupe. The German engineered speedster is known as the ultimate drive for a reason. Recently, however, BMW announced a limited supply of a special model known as the Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupe. The 19 produced to sell sport the famed BMW 4.0 liter, 414 horsepower V8 engines along with the M Double Clutch Transmission and enough power to go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. They also have a distinct black finish, raised hood, dark black rims and maxed out amenities. The unfortunate part is that all 19 sold out in 22 minutes… don’t worry though we hear BMW has a great certified pre-owned program.
You may have heard of the Nissan Leaf, which is Nissan’s zero emission car, but have you seen the NISMO RC model? Although this green speedster does resemble its cuter cousin, the RC in its name does stand for “Racing Competition.” As a result, there are some amenities that have been exchanged for a carbon fiber body, LED lights, adjustable rear wing and smaller frame. However, they’re a small price to pay to drive fast and not feel guilty doing it.
Cabestan is known for making crazy looking watches that are also crazy expensive. The Sol Invictus is a perfect example since it is made with solar panels and has a price tag of about $710,000. If that wasn’t enough for you, Cabestan has teamed up with Ferrari to create The Scuderia Ferrari One. This watch is as amazing as the other models; however, there are a few differences. The obvious ones are the Ferrari logos and the color scheme, the not so apparent one is that you need to own a Ferrari to even have the right to purchase it. We recommend you check out the 2012 FF or 599GTB HY-KERS.
Who hasn’t dreamed of piloting a hover anything? Well, we might not be too far from taking a hoverbike into the air thanks to Chris Malloy. He started the project on his own and has funded the vast majority of it, which is very impressive given where the vehicle is at. Powered by a flat twin 4-stroke that can dish out an estimated 150 knots-indicated air speed, this flying motorcycle has the potential to zip people from point A to B with awesome speed. Just wait until the Hells Angels or Bōsōzoku get a hold of this thing…
Ever had that dream that you were flying? Well, now that can be closer to reality with FlyNano. By creating small single rider aircraft, FlyNano wants to change how people get around. Weren’t we supposed to have flying cars by now anyway? These ultra light mini-planes shouldn’t cost an arm and a leg either, making flight – even if just for fun – available to many more people. This works out well because according to FlyNano, “man was born to fly.”
Just listen to Aaron Frank, “There’s never been a sportsbike that’s easier to ride fast.” We trust him on this subject… he is the Editor-at-Large of Motorcyclist Magazine. Even if we didn’t though, we’d still want the E1pc from MotoCzysz. This “green” bike has some serious power from 12.5kWh of batteries and a proprietary liquid cooled, permanent magnet, brushless DC motor that powers out 125+ horsepower. In other words, it’s easy to ride and it’s fast… wait it’s like Déjà vu…
What happens when a motorcycle company creates a car? The KTM X-Box happens… No doors, no windshield, no BS! The X-Bow is basically a 2.0 liter TFSI Audi engine with a frame on four wheels. This means serious speed, so serious it launches its drivers 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds at a top speed of 137 mph. The only downside is that everyone and there mother wants to race you when you drive it – wait, that’s a downside? Well, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
Have you pre-ordered your UNO III yet!? With the ability to switch from Uno mode (two wheels balanced by an internal gyro stabilization systems) to full-on streetbike at a whim it is mighty tempting. Uno mode allows you to navigate tight spaces with ease, while streetbike mode kicks it up a notch and can do anything the other super bikes can do. On top of all this, the UNO III is also a zero emissions vehicle. Yes, you can look like your from the future and act like it too.
