You have probably seen Star Wars, but we bet you haven’t seen it like Greg Peltz envisions the saga. Mr. Peltz’s vision is a little more punk, steampunk that is. His character portraits of Boba Fett, Jabba the Hutt, Chewbacca and C-3PO are really interesting takes on the franchise. Whether it is due to the monocle over Chewy’s eye or the massive mustache on Jabba, you’ll crack a smile every time you take a look at these prints. Truly epic.
We are about to cover all our walls with the prints from the Baurmann Gallery. Well, we might reserve a few for our LA office, but they’re all interesting pieces none-the-less. They depict various scenes that portray a whole slew of emotions. For example, one expresses a great sense of pride, while another displays a feeling of oppression. Regardless, they all convey feelings that easily cross over to the viewer. In other words, they are ill.
Typical wall clocks have the same boring look with three needles, each representing the second, minute and hour hand. The needles move in the same manner and reading time also does not vary from one clock to the other, it fairy remains the same. Not any more! Designed by Marko Vuckovic the Saturn Watch has been crafted in a simple yet elegant manner. It consists of a base which has 12 digits placed on it like any other timepiece. Further, the base is enveloped with two disks that have perforated holes crafted on them. The holes in the round plate aptly reveal what time of the day we are in. As against everyday clocks, only the digits representing the present time are revealed and the rest remain concealed under the disk. When dusk sets in and the surroundings turn dim, back lit wedges in the Saturn Watch switches on robotically, which makes it easy to read time. The Saturn Watch with its plain looks will make the wall it is hung on very attractive.
Posters by Opasinski use a familiar character as the lead in a series of movie prints. If you don’t already know its Munny which you can find at the kid robot store. The poster all have a dark ominous feel to them with a single element or color that bring the character into the role of the movie. We like that these posters are big and are printed on canvas to give a real presents in any space.
Remember those super cool eBoy shirts that we featured!? Well, if the ones you purchased are in the wash you can still honor the dopeness of eBoy by hanging a poster. These pieces of art usually have more going on than the shirt prints, which make them instant conversation starters. Don’t worry about picking the perfect one either, you’ll be safe with any of them because they’re all sick.
This is a conceptual project that we would really like to see come to reality. Faraday merges the task of preparing tea with the social experience of consuming it. The use of induction technology allows the boiling of water to take place at the table, without a stovetop or a steel kettle. Neither the serving tray nor the objects upon it get hot while the water boils within the glass vessel.
Now this is something we can definitely get behind: combining the best of African craftmanship, Italian design, and Brazilian skins… sounds like our ideal female (and probably the ideal male for you ladies out there). However, it’s the next best thing; rugs not just any rugs but area432′s rugs all handmade from all-natural cowhide. If you’re looking for that one WOW piece in your home then these rugs are the way to go, they can change the entire mood of a room while also maintaining that one-of-a-kind look as you can be sure that each rug will be unique.
Made out of agglomerated cork these pebble shaped tables would add a modern and organic element to your home or workplace. Featured in different sizes and shapes, Lasca can provide you with various functions. Steadier than a tray, more practical and unrestricted than a table, you can use it to rest a tv-remote or glass, prop up a computer or set your notebook or reading material down. We think clustering a few of them is a great look and gives you more versatility depending on what task you have.
Wilbur is a work desk that has solved a very basic problem with most other work surfaces; cables. No matter how much of a clean freak you are cable are something you can’t get rid of and eventually they get tangled, creating even bigger eye sore. Well, Wilbur conceals all those ugly wires in the desk itself. With a removable panel and slots you can put all your chargers and power adapters in the desk cavity and only have minimal cables coming out to connect to your devices.
The Toy is a lamp that can also function as a side table. The form is three continuous bands that tie together at the top and bottom. Designer Martinelli Luce has executed a pure form that functions well. For the larger Toy a satin acrylic disc can be placed to give you a surface for small items.
