The engineering marvels at Hennessey Performance can give the pros at Dinan a run for their money. A perfect example is the Hennessey V700 Cadillac CTS-V, which sports over 700 horses. Going peddle to the metal in this beast causes a 0.99 g-force at start, 128 mph at the end of 1/4 miles and a call to OnStar (see video). Although, we would hate to worry the representatives at OnStar, we have a feeling they would receive quite a few calls if we were driving.
Whoa there Ford, we thought the Mustang was cool but this is a whole new level. The EVOS, which unfortunately is a concept, shows the path that Ford is trying to take. This plug-in hybrid not only connects to an outlet but the tech cloud of the future. Through the EVOS, you will have the ability to customize your experience and obtain almost anything you want through the cloud-connected interface, which is all pretty cool. The gull-style doors are a nice touch too… it’s like the Delorean of the future…
It’s rare to top an M3 Coupe. The German engineered speedster is known as the ultimate drive for a reason. Recently, however, BMW announced a limited supply of a special model known as the Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupe. The 19 produced to sell sport the famed BMW 4.0 liter, 414 horsepower V8 engines along with the M Double Clutch Transmission and enough power to go 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. They also have a distinct black finish, raised hood, dark black rims and maxed out amenities. The unfortunate part is that all 19 sold out in 22 minutes… don’t worry though we hear BMW has a great certified pre-owned program.
You may have heard of the Nissan Leaf, which is Nissan’s zero emission car, but have you seen the NISMO RC model? Although this green speedster does resemble its cuter cousin, the RC in its name does stand for “Racing Competition.” As a result, there are some amenities that have been exchanged for a carbon fiber body, LED lights, adjustable rear wing and smaller frame. However, they’re a small price to pay to drive fast and not feel guilty doing it.
The great people at TopGear have got a hold of some new, and potentially unauthorized, pictures of the upcoming Porsche 911. The body seems to be very similar to the previous version which we love. There a few subtle differences with the grilles and the lights. It also appears that the pop up spoiler is a little larger but we think we can live with all of that. We would be interested to know if you guys like it or think they should be pushing forward a little more.
Cabestan is known for making crazy looking watches that are also crazy expensive. The Sol Invictus is a perfect example since it is made with solar panels and has a price tag of about $710,000. If that wasn’t enough for you, Cabestan has teamed up with Ferrari to create The Scuderia Ferrari One. This watch is as amazing as the other models; however, there are a few differences. The obvious ones are the Ferrari logos and the color scheme, the not so apparent one is that you need to own a Ferrari to even have the right to purchase it. We recommend you check out the 2012 FF or 599GTB HY-KERS.
The Jaguar XKR175 is the absolute perfect blend of power and beauty. This machine was specially designed for the 75 year anniversary for Jaguar. The interior offers all the luxuries you should expect from a Jaguar and as you press firmly on the gas pedal you will feel/hear the engine deliver all the power you can handle eventually hitting 174mph. And Jaguar has made one decision easy for you cause this car only comes in black exterior with warm charcoal interior, which is probably the color of choice anyway.
The Lamborghini Aventador goes 0 to 62 miles per hour in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 217 mph and that’s really all that needs to be said. The video and image speak for themselves as this machine is no ordinary car. According to its tradition, Lamborghini’s new flagship bears the name of a bull — naturally, a particularly courageous specimen from the world of the Spanish Corrida. Aventador was a bull bred by the Don Celestino Cuardi Vides family that in October 1993 entered into battle at the Saragossa Arena, earning the “Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera” for the outstanding courage shown during the fight. Bottom line this is more beast than machine.
With this little device called the BlueAnt S4 will allow you to never have to touch your phone while driving again. And with more and more states adopting laws against using your phone while driving this little device is a bargain compared to a ticket. It simply much safer to just speak your commands than looking down to push buttons. We just like talking to our cars and have it have it do what we want.
The Renault Z.E. Twizy is a little two seater that is fully electric. With a range of 60 miles its best for trips around the neighborhood. With a maximum speed of 50 mph this is no golf cart. You are fully charged in three and a half hours which is as simple as plugging in your toaster. For safely it comes standard with a four point seat belt and airbag. The Twizy is not the only car in Renault’s line up but it is certainly the cutest. Check out the Kangoo, Fluence and Zoe as well if you are looking for a full sized vehicle.
