Pad
Ultra-modern clock for your modern home and lifestyle. Just the digits, black and white. Throw them on any wall for a functional decorative accent. The best part, the digits change to black in the light and white in the dark. Our question is what happens if the time is stalking you at night? It is awfully white… throwing a drop cloth over them could reduce the level of cool… The worst part, it’s in pre-production and not ready for sale yet. In the meantime, you can figure out how to cover it up in the middle of the night.
Most bookcases draw attention to themselves by featuring interesting media, LINES by Peter Maly needs no such bait. The unique design offers an elegant, modern feel with an artistic twist. With downward sloping shelves and odd angled columns, it is quite the conversation starter. Featured by Ligne Roset, LINES measures 86”x83.75”x13.5” and is available in anthracite or white lacquer, plus optional LED lighting. It goes great with an accent of a single color and based on the models, red seems to be preferable. Before you buy, just make sure you have enough books with red trim.
The people over at Areaware must be a lot like us here at The Swag Mag. We want cool stuff for our house, what the hell is cooler than a gorilla? NOTHING! EVER! What’s even better? This guy has movable joints to mold into different poses (they’re really fun as a pair). So next time your at a buddies house and he has one of the human figures you can snag at the MOMA tell him you have the same thing, only yours is a gorilla, and way cooler. Basque in his envy.
Look, we love all the huge custom art on the walls of the newest and hippest hotels, and we want it on our walls as well, but we can’t really afford all that. The next best thing: Wall Decals. A Really well done example is the Invisible Gentlemen Decal by Threadless based on the original by Philip Tseng. We’re not sure if we like it because it looks cool or because it reminds us of the mediocre, yet still hilarious, 80′s movie. Either way want it. Available in an ultramodern blue and white, the wall decal measures at 35”x38” and comes off as easy as it goes on, no harm no foul.
The Liberty melds comfort and simplicity into one attractive package. Unlike many high-end task chairs on the market today, the Liberty only requires a few adjustments to be fully functional. Being the brain-child of Niels Diffrient, “the granddaddy of the ergonomic revolution,” the design includes body fitting contours and a built-in lumbar support that conform to almost any body type. Built around a tri-panel construction, the Liberty also comes in a variety of color and style options, allowing you to personalize the look to your own taste. It truly is a work of art on wheels.
Bob Kramer, badass master bladesmiths, partnered with Shun to bring you these razor-sharp and perfectly balanced knives. Oh, and they look cool, resin infused wood handles with a damascus-style waterfall pattern blade. The kid inside of us wants to wield these knives all over the house; unfortunately, it’s only socially acceptable to be a knife fighter in the kitchen.
If your coffee table top is anything like ours it’s constantly cluttered with stuff we don’t need but are entirely too lazy to put away. The Nar Coffee Table allows you to store your magazines and books in a stylish manner. The only thing it’s missing are glass squares to protect our books from spilt beer. It’s also a winner of all sorts of design awards that we know nothing about. We do know one thing though, we want it for our pad.
